The Ukrainian company Swarmer is developing a new artificial intelligence-based Stryx system to help the Ukrainian military control a swarm of drones. This was reported by Reuters.
Stryx will be able to connect dozens of UAVs into a single network. According to the company's co-founder, Sergiy Kuprienko, each drone will be able to decide how to move independently depending on the circumstances and predict the movement of other drones in the group.
This will also greatly simplify the work of the UAV operator. The operator will be able to take control only when the drones are close to the target to confirm the strike.
With Stryx, operators who can usually only control a few drones at a time will be able to launch swarms of 10-20 drones. All in all, Kuprienko says their system will be able to support even swarms of hundreds of drones at once.
Kuprienko adds that in addition to the obvious benefits of simplified management, Swarmer's system can also help protect operators who are close to the line of fire.
However, the new technology is still under development and is being tested.
