Apple has finally approved UTM SE, a PC emulator that allows you to run classic apps and games on iPhone, iPad, and Vision Pro. The day before, the company rejected UTM SE and banned PC emulators from the App Store. This was reported by The Verge.
The UTM SE program itself does not provide access to the operating system or any other software, but it directs you to the developers' website, which contains instructions for installing various versions of Windows - from XP to 11.
In addition, you can find ready-made Linux builds on the developers' website, as well as Mac OS 9.2.1 and DOS. Among other things, the UTM SE supports VGA mode for graphics and terminal mode for text-based operating systems, and emulates x86, PPC, and RISC-V architectures.
In June, Apple did not allow the emulator to be placed in the App Store because the program was "of poor quality."
