Elon Musk's X platform blocks Bellingcat's investigation that the attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv was carried out by a Russian X-101 missile. When clicking on the link, some users receive a warning that it may be dangerous.
"The link you are attempting to follow has been determined by X or our partners to contain spam or be unsafe in accordance with X 's URL Policy ", the platform said in a statement.
It also says that a link can belong to any of the following categories:
- malicious links that can steal personal data or harm electronic devices;
- spam links that mislead people or negatively affect their use of the service;
- violent or misleading content that could cause harm in real life;
- certain categories of content that, if posted directly on X, violate the X Rules.
The day before, Bellingcat analysts, as well as nuclear weapons and missile technology experts, confirmed that the Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv was hit by a Russian X-101 cruise missile. The experts were able to make this conclusion thanks to the video footage of the attack, which appeared in open sources shortly after the attack.
