Despite its status as a concept car, the new incarnation of the Honda Prelude demonstrates even greater readiness for the production model. Just look at the carefully crafted details: a front spoiler and rear wing, 20-inch wheels and Brembo brakes.
More information about the car's technical components is also gradually becoming available. Firstly, the Honda Prelude coupe will be related to the Honda Civic hatchback, so we can expect similar dimensions (about 4.5 meters long) and exclusively front-wheel drive. Secondly, the well-known 2.0 e:HEV hybrid engine is also expected to be used, so we can expect 184 hp and 315 Nm of torque; the engine may be slightly boosted to match the status of a sports coupe. Finally, the third thing is that the car will be a 4-seater, which means it will have the traditional 2+2 seating formula for a coupe.
As you can see, the Honda Prelude sports coupe is really half a step away from production. And it should happen soon: Honda representatives say that production will start in the mid-2020s.
