Epic Games will be able to release Fortnite on iOS again, and at the same time, its Epic Games Store, but only in the EU for now. The company announced this in X (ex-Twitter).
This opportunity arose thanks to the requirements of the European Union's Digital Markets Act, which led to Apple opening iOS to third-party app stores.
So far, there is little information about the return of Fortnite. Epic Games said that they will launch their iOS store later this year, and the game will be available for download from there.

Via our soon to launch @EpicGames Store for iOS thanks to new rules in Europe via the new Digital Markets Act (DMA), stay tuned for more details. https://t.co/7nOa2lcdhN
The release of the battle royale, as well as the EGS store, will take place only in the countries of the European Union where the Digital Marketplace Act is in force, but this is most likely just the beginning and Epic Games, having already had a successful experience, will continue to fight for opening access to iOS in other markets.
