Ukrainian studio Mauris has released a new release trailer for the pirate role-playing game Corsairs Legacy and announced that the game will be released in January 2024.
According to the developers, the exact release date depends on how soon the game will be approved by Steam and on the effectiveness of polishing and bug fixing. The game is planned to be released with full compatibility with Steam Deck, which also requires a separate check.
In Corsairs Legacy, players take on the role of Rufus and sail the dangerous waters of the Caribbean with their crew to complete a series of risky missions. From smuggling through heavily guarded waters to taking part in epic naval battles against powerful empires, the stakes are raised every time.
The new trailer shows only the actual gameplay recorded in the game and the content that will be in the game at release. The game will be launched in early access first, and in January, players will be able to access half of the story.
In the first 3-6 months after the release, Mauris plans to release more gameplay and story updates, as well as fix bugs and issues based on player feedback.
The developers will also hold a stream on the game's English-language YouTube channel this year, where they will play the current build of Corsairs Legacy and answer questions from the audience via chat.
