The upcoming film Dune: Part Two will be more "muscular" compared to Dune: Part One, which was released in 2021. Director Denis Villeneuve told about it in an interview with Total Film magazine, Variety writes.
“The first movie was more meditative and contemplative. We were following a young man discovering a new planet, a new culture,” Villeneuve said. “The second movie…it’s more of an action film than the first part. It’s more muscular.”
This is because the entire movie was shot using IMAX cameras. For the first movie, the technology was used to shoot 35-40% of the material.
In the summer, Warner Bros. and Kinomania presented the second Ukrainian trailer for the sci-fi movie. The film is the second film adaptation of the famous science fiction novel by Frank Herbert, published in 1965, which influenced all science fiction literature and cinema of the second half of the 20th century.
The film's premiere was scheduled for November 2, 2023, but was postponed to March of next year amid strikes in Hollywood.
