The features and capabilities of modern flagship smartphones can surpass many laptops in some ways. But with the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, the manufacturer offers truly impressive specifications.
So while most smartphones, even flagship models, come with 8 or 12GB of RAM (and the iPhone 14 Pro comes with 6GB in general), announced on the Weibo page, OnePlus Ace 2 Pro in the maximum configuration with a terabyte drive boasts a considerable 24 GB of RAM (for example, even for gaming PCs, 16 GB is still the standard). There is also enough memory in the "younger" versions of this smartphone: 12/256 and 16/512 GB.
Together with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and such storage capacity, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is positioned as a gaming device. It is this category of smartphones that usually get more RAM and have considerable storage, even in the basic versions.
And the manufacturer did not stop there. The battery capacity of the Ace 2 Pro is 5,000 mAh, but this comes as no surprise. A pleasant surprise is the support for 150W SuperVooc fast charging. This allows the battery to be charged to 50% in just 5 minutes using a proprietary power supply. (Again, just for comparison, modern MacBook Pro models come with power supplies ranging from 67 to 140 watts, not to mention regular laptops or smartphones).
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro also has a third interesting feature hidden in its display capabilities. And it's not the resolution (2772×1240 pixels) or the refresh rate (120 Hz), as you might think. The Ace 2 Pro's screen is able to work properly with wet fingers or splashes of water. Usually, smartphone screens have a hard time working in such circumstances, which can be seen even on waterproof devices in normal rain.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will cost $415, $550, and $690 in the domestic market, depending on the storage configurations. The device is currently available for pre-order only, and is expected to go on sale on August 23. No information on global availability and pricing is available yet.
