Some iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro owners are complaining that their smartphones are losing battery capacity faster than expected. And this is despite the fact that they are not even a year old, writes The Verge.
Sam Cole from AppleTrack wrote about this situation. His iPhone's maximum battery capacity is now 90% of its original capacity. This happened faster than with the previous iPhone models he had.
Many other people have similar experiences. For example, Wall Street Journal Senior Tech Writer Joanna Stern wrote that her iPhone 14 Pro shows 88% battery capacity. So far, users have not seen a drop in reported capacity in at least two years of iPhone use.
My iPhone 14 Pro is down to 88% battery capacity after less than a year.

Is it because I use my phone too much and have already hit 450 charge cycles?! (That's what Apple Store says.) Is it from heat from fast charging? Is there something up with the battery?

As you know, Apple officially states that iPhone batteries should "retain up to 80% of their original capacity after 500 full charge cycles". The iPhone 15 series is expected to be released soon, and in these devices the battery size may increase by 10-18% compared to current devices.
Earlier it was reported that the rules approved by the European Council oblige companies, including Apple to provide users with the ability to replace batteries in iPhones and other products on their own.
