Sony presented a new generation of TWS earbuds WF-1000X. The company claims that this model offers the best noise cancellation on the market. Engineers have improved the ANC system - for its operation, two processors of their development (Integrated Processor V2 and HD Noise Canceling Processor QN2e), six microphones, as well as updated earpads, which are responsible for passive sound isolation, are used.
The new 8.4 mm Dynamic Driver X drivers should provide users with even more rich and detailed sound. Traditionally, Sony's top earbuds support Hi-Res Audio and the LDAC codec. A Bluetooth 5.3 module is provided for connection to sound sources. Support for tracking the position of the user's head has appeared, but it works only in connection with Android. Simultaneous connection to two devices, Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants, Google Fast Pair function and others are also supported.
The design of the WF-1000XM5 has not undergone significant changes compared to its predecessor. Earbuds have become a little more compact and lighter. The body is made of glossy and matte plastic. Declared protection against moisture according to the IPX4 rating. The battery life of the novelty is up to 8 hours without ANC (up to 6 hours with ANC). Together with a case that supports wireless charging - up to 24 hours. Three minutes of charging in the case provides up to 60 minutes of music playback.
