Twitter has resumed payments for the use of the Google Cloud service, repairing the previously strained relationship. This is reported by Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the situation.
According to them, the new executive director of Twitter, Linda Yaccarino, helped put the relationship on the right track. The companies are also discussing a broader partnership that includes advertising and Google's use of the Twitter API.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, Elon Musk supported a new direction in these relations. Another person, also familiar with the matter, confirmed that there were no problems between the companies.
Earlier it was reported that Twitter refused to pay bills for using the cloud service Google Cloud, because the contract between the companies expires this month.
Before Elon Musk took over the social network last year, Twitter signed a multi-year contract with Google that covered, among other things, anti-spam and account protection. The social network places some services on its server, and others on the cloud platforms of Amazon and Google.
