inXile Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios have announced an action/RPG in a steampunk setting Clockwork Revolution which looks like… the next part of BioShock Infinite.
Clockwork Revolution takes place in the steampunk city of Avalon, where a conflict between the government and the working class seems to be brewing. One of the features of the game is the ability to travel through time (and why not through alternate realities?), visiting key moments in the city's history.
Not much is known about the new game, but visually it really resembles a mix of BioShock Infinite and Dishonored.
The game is being developed by Brian Fargo's studio inXile Entertainment, creators of The Bard's Tale and Wasteland series. As a reminder, since 2018 inXile Entertainment belongs to Microsoft. Of course, Clockwork Revolution is coming to Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC and should be coming to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass right away. There are no dates yet, but we would bet on the second half of 2024.
Clockwork Revolution pages on Steam and Xbox website already exist. Add it.
P.S. Judging by a few recent announcements, it looks like we're not the only ones nostalgic for BioShock Infinite.
