The Italian publisher 505 Games made a rather unexpected announcement. The company presented the Free-to-Play robo-shooter Hawken Reborn, which is being released in Steam Early Access… tomorrow May 17, 2023.
Hawken 2012 was a dynamic online PvP shooter with mechs that were far superior in speed and maneuverability to traditional BattleTech universe mechs, even Titanfall 1/2 mechs. Hawken Reborn 2023 remains dynamic, but now it's… a narrative PvE shooter, which is a bit unexpected. Even more strangely, according to the Steam page, it's a single-player shooter, not a co-op shooter.
So far we only have a short teaser that doesn't explain anything and a bunch of screenshots. By the way, those on Steam show real game graphics. But tomorrow Hawken Reborn will be available for players, so let's see where our mechs will go this time.
