Microsoft has no plans to release new versions of Windows 10. 22H2 is the last version before the end of support for the operating system on October 14, 2025, writes Windows Central with a link to the company.
So you shouldn't expect Windows 10 version 23H2 to be released this fall. But the operating system will continue to be maintained monthly with security updates. After the end of support for this OS, users will be prompted to upgrade to a newer version of Windows. It will likely be Windows 11 or Windows 12 at that point.
As for the next version of Windows LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel), Microsoft announced its release in the second half of next year.
We will remind that Windows 10 appeared in 2015. This OS has constantly received new versions in addition to monthly security updates. At first, Microsoft released two new versions of the operating system per year. However, it later returned to releasing one new version every year. Since Windows 11 came out, updates to Windows 10 versions have been few and far between. Version 22H2 did not have any new features, only fixes.
It was previously reported that Microsoft abandons production of Microsoft-branded keyboards, mice and webcams, the company plans to focus on Surface-branded accessories instead. In fact, this means the "end of the era" of Microsoft's desktop peripherals - which began way back in 1983 with the release of the first mouse under this brand.
