The Nothing company's first product was the ear (1), which was demonstrated in the summer of 2021. In a week they should receive an update - Nothing ear (2) - the images and specifications of which, as is often the case, preceded the presentation.
This time, the well-known insider Steve Hemmerstoffer (OnLeaks announced the news on the pages of The Tech Outlook Nothing ear (2) will get the same 11.6 mm speakers as in the previous model. There is a minimal change in weight - the new headphones weigh 4.5 grams instead of 4.7. Also ear (2) will increase the battery life from 4 to 6 hours, and taking into account the battery reserve in the case — 36 hours (it was 34). They can be charged both via USB-C and at an induction station with support for the Qi standard. Talking about the new model to Forbes, Carl Pei (founder and CEO of the company) mentioned the use of the LDHC 5.0 codec (low latency high-definition audio codec), which should improve the quality of sound transmission via Bluetooth. He also talked about protection against water and dust according to the IP54 standard. As for prices, there is no such information yet. But taking into account that the new model did not receive drastic changes, it can be expected that Nothing ear (2) will cost at the level of the previous model, namely $99. The presentation of the new product is scheduled for March 22.
