According to insiders, this year the cheaper versions of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus should get the same notch in the screens as the Pro models with Dynamic Island. This will make the models a little "closer" to each other. But some features of "older" models will still not be available in more affordable smartphones.
It is reported that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will still not support ProMotion and Always-On features this time around. Many much cheaper modern smartphones already have such capabilities, but ordinary iPhone models do not get them.
In fact, the lack of such functions is not something critical. However, by taking advantage of this, Apple can maintain an extra incentive for buyers to spend more money on the more expensive Pro model. But in the meantime, direct competitors of simpler versions of the iPhone can still offer a higher image refresh rate and Always-On, which have already become basic functions for most Android smartphones.
However, most likely the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will still have both full Dynamic Island functionality and USB-C instead of the outdated Lightning port.
