GSC Game World and Polish board game publisher Awaken Realms (This War of Mine: The Board Game, Lords of Hellas, Nemesis, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, Etherfields) announced the creation of a board game in the universe of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. The Board Game.
The game is designed for 1-4 players, that is, it can be played both solo and with friends. The authors try to transfer all the attributes of the original computer games as accurately as possible to the board format, so there is also the player's inventory, monsters, artifacts and the Zone, which is constantly changing. The board will include exploration of the environment, something like a dungeon/zone crawler, tactical combat, elements of a survival game, and interesting scenario tasks. That is, all the things you love about S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
As you can see, the game will include quite detailed game figures of stalkers and monsters and a large number of game cards. That is, it looks like it will be quite expensive, like most big and complex board games.
Awaken Realms hopes to release the game as early as the end of Q2 2023. So to fans of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. there will be something to play while waiting for the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl at the end of the year.
