Fighter jet F-22 of the United States Air Force shot down another unidentified flying object over Alaska. It was reported by the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the US National Security Council Rear Admiral John Kirby. It happened just a week after the United States Air Force destroyed a Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic.
Currently, it is not known who owned this object - an American organization, a private company, or a foreign country but it was at an altitude of 12 km (against more than 24 km for the Chinese balloon) and threatened civilian air traffic.
This UFO was way smaller than the previously shot down balloon. John Kirby rated it as the size of a small car". The wreckage of the unknown object is already being searched for, which is complicated by the fact that it most likely fell into frozen water in a sparsely populated area.
The order to destroy was given personally by President Joe Biden, AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air missile was used to destroy the object.
