On the eve of the CES 2023 exhibition, Lenovo presented updated ThinkPad X1 laptops. The ThinkPad brand celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, so Lenovo decided to emphasize the durability and environmental friendliness of the new models with the update of the line.
ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11
The presented novelties ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, ThinkPad X1 YOGA Gen 8 and ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3 are manufactured using recycled materials in some components:
- ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 palm surface is 90% recycled magnesium and bottom cover is 55% recycled aluminum;
- ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3 has a hybrid palm surface and bottom cover that is 90% recycled magnesium;
- In addition, the retail packaging of the new models is made from 100% bamboo and sugar cane, the brown box is plastic-free, which is 90% recycled and/or FSC certified, and some components of the new ThinkPad X1 use post-consumer plastic (PCC);
- All ThinkPad laptops are also eligible for Lenovo's CO2 offset program.
ThinkPad X1 YOGA Gen 8
The new flagship laptops ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, ThinkPad X1 YOGA Gen 8 and ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3 are created on the Intel Evo platform and equipped with the latest generation Intel Core i7 processors with vPro technology and work on the basis of the Windows 11 operating system.
ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3
ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 and ThinkPad X1 YOGAGen 8 can also be equipped with LPDDR5 RAM of up to 64 GB for users who frequently perform resource-intensive tasks.
