The development of the foldable smartphone category is starting to increase competition within this class of devices. Such an option is expected from Google soon. Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka OnLeaks on Twitter, this time showed renders of the upcoming gadget.
The approximate dimensions of the Google Pixel Fold are determined by the 7.69-inch internal display and the 5.79-inch external one, while the dimensions of the case will be 158.7×139.7×5.7 mm (8.3 mm, taking into account the "pedestal" for cameras).
It is quite obvious that the Pixel Fold will receive the Google Tensor G2 chip, and there will be no problems with performance. But it is noted that among users of folding smartphones there is a greater demand not for increasing power, but for improving the strength of the cases. It will also have 12GB of RAM and storage capacity options.
You can also see three cameras on the renders, which will most likely repeat the capabilities of the Google Pixel 7 Pro sensors.
Stereo speakers are located on the upper and lower parts of the case, one on each side. As for color options, the Pixel Fold will come in standard Silver and Black.
The Google Pixel Fold is expected to arrive in May 2023. The price of such a smartphone could be $1799.
