Over the last year, the number of users of social networks in Ukraine has increased - from 60% of the population in 2021 to 76.6% in July 2022. This is evidenced by GlobalLogic research.
Today, more than 28 million Ukrainian users are registered on YouTube, more than 16.1 million on Instagram, and 15.45 million on Facebook. TikTok has more than 10.55 million Ukrainian users . The job search social network LinkedIn has significantly fewer users. At the beginning of 2022, about 3.6 million Ukrainians had accounts with it.
GlobalLogic claims that, neglecting LinkedIn, specialists from Ukraine lose the opportunity to find a job. A completed profile on this site increases the chances of getting a position.
"Recruiters, both in Ukraine and abroad, are looking for candidates in social networks. For example, in 2022, 39% of candidates in the world found a job through social networks, in particular with the help of LinkedIn or Facebook. Therefore, today it is especially important to pay attention to how your profile looks and whether it contains enough information - this is how you have a chance to get to the top of the search results," says Yuliya Shmulya, Director of Recruiting at GlobalLogic.
The number of Internet users is increasing not only in Ukraine, but also in the world. Over the past year, the number of social media users has increased by 227 million. At the beginning of July 2022, there were 4.7 billion people with social media accounts - more than half of the total population of the planet.
