Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 officially announced (again)

Surprisingly, Infinity Ward has formally announced that the next game in one of the most lucrative gaming franchises, Call of Duty, will be called Modern Warfare 2.

Rumors about this have been circulating for a long time, and there has even been official confirmation - in February Activision in their blog already shared plans for the future of the series, where, among other things, they mentioned the new part of Call of Duty.

And now Infinity Ward has tweeted with a new logo and hashtag #ModernWarfare2. And yes, that's all for now. According to preliminary information, the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be a sequel to the 2019 game, which, in turn, was a reboot of the original game. Additional information will most likely be awaited in the next "official announcements".

For fans of statistics - this will be the forty-seventh (!) Game Call of Duty, the tenth - in the subseries Modern Warfare and the fourth game called Modern Warfare 2.
